Rules every page follows

  1. No text on any page is written by AI. Sentences come from templates that are filled with data and left out when the data is missing.
  2. No page exists without data. Pages that don't have enough are kept out of search results until they do, and no page carries filler text.
  3. Each member has one profile page and one schedule page. Votes and bills are sections of those pages, not separate pages.
  4. Lists covering a whole chamber appear on the hub pages only; member pages show only what concerns that member.
  5. Dates are honest: “Last updated” is when the data last changed, not when the page was generated.
  6. Official, public-domain sources only. Every record keeps its source address and retrieval time, and every image its source and license. Images are stored on our servers, not loaded from other sites.

LocateCongress is not affiliated with Congress, any government agency, party or campaign. It shows the same information for every member, from the same sources.

Corrections

Report an error on the corrections page. Fixes to data errors are listed there with the page and date.
